    Photographic processes have used silver since their beginnings, and Betts have worked alongside the trade since its conception, to help maximise its efficiency and profitability. Our huge smelting and film washing capacity means that we can work with the very largest producers, right down to the smallest mini-labs. As our equipment section highlights, we have a range of specially developed equipment to service ANY size of business, and we can offer either bulk collections or in house treatment facilities as our customers require. We are capable of removing all by-products from digital photography as well.

    Negative Film
    Collected, sorted and shredded, then processed through our state of the art silver recovery process.
    Film Fixer
    Collected, stored and decanted. Silver is reclaimed in recovery plant and Silver Flake is passed on to Silver recycling process. 50% spent fluid to pH Adjustment. Hazardous components are converted into an inert sludge and non-hazardous liquid.
    Film Developer
    Collected, stored and decanted. pH Adjustment Process carried out. Hazardous components are converted into an inert sludge and non-hazardous liquid. The liquid is then further processed before being returned to the relevant water course.
    Blanket Wash
    Collected from our customers in various size containers ranging from 20L up to 1000L IBCs. Decanted, stored and treated. Reclaimed Petroleum re-used as third grade fuel by licensed contractor. Hazardous components are converted to an inert sludge and non-hazardous liquid.
    Medical / Veterinary X Ray
    Envirometal is able to offer a full ‘Cradle To Grave’ solution for the collection and destruction of all medical X Ray film. We are able to supply personnel to provide on site sorting and collation of medical records, segregating identified records and film for destruction at our Kidderminster facility.
    Silver Recovery
    We provide a comprehensive range of Silver Recovery units to fit every type of machine that processes fixer solutions. Whether it be Radiography departments, photo-labs or printers, we will have a cost effective, environmentally compliant and efficient unit to match your capacity and budget.
